In 2000 I became involved with a local doctor who was looking for help in baking for her Autistic child. I accepted the challenge because of a few friends who were having dietary problems with their children due to ADD. As owner of my own catering company in Pleasanton, I've put my knowledge of cooking and baking together to create many of my recipes. Autism, like other diseases that cause food intolerance's and food sensitivities, need substitutes for wheat, dairy, and sugar to name a few. I have come up with many great tasting bake items using alternative flours(rice, nuts and bean flours), substituting honey and sweet fruit for sugar, and goat products for dairy.

As stated above, I do operate my own catering company, Hosted by Annette. I provide a wide range of services from full-service catering to food drop-offs.
